We are currently seeking a Tax Manager, Real Estate for an exciting hybrid opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to oversee and manage tax compliance and planning activities for real estate portfolios while partnering with internal stakeholders to optimize tax strategies. Role responsibilities

  • Manage and review federal, state, and local tax compliance for real estate clients, including partnerships, corporations, LLCs, and REITs.
  • Lead complex real estate tax engagements covering partnership allocations, 704(b) and 704(c), 754 elections, opportunity zones, like-kind exchanges (1031), and cost segregation considerations.
  • Oversee and review partnership tax returns (Forms 1065), K-1s, and related supporting schedules.
  • Identify and research complex tax issues; prepare technical memoranda and provide recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Advise clients on tax planning opportunities, entity structuring, acquisition/disposition strategies, and real estate-specific tax implications.
  • Manage engagement budgeting, scheduling, and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise junior team members, and provide performance feedback and support career development.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA   preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, with a strong focus on real estate.
  • Deep knowledge of real estate tax concepts, partnership taxation, and related regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and leading teams.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-service abilities.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
