Established regional law firm seeking an Accounting & Finance leader for their NYC-based office.
Role responsibilities
- Lead operations for all Accounting and Finance functions
- Monthly financial statements
- Strategic financial analysis and reporting, budgeting & forecasting
- Leverage technical systems and implementations for process improvement
- Policies and procedures
- Adhere and stay updated to industry and governmental reporting regulations
- Develop internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for accounting and finance activities.
- Lead annual audit process and risk management
- Team leadership, promoting professional development
Requirements
- 10+ years of accounting experience in law firm preferred
- 5+ years in senior management role
- CPA – preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices
- Knowledge of SurePoint Accounting software and ChromeRiver expense reimbursement management, a plus
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask
- A self-starter, takes a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Developing and maintaining bank relationships
