Our client, a leading global alternative asset manager with over $235B in AUM, is seeking a VP of Private Funds to join its Finance team in New York City. This hybrid role requires four days in-office and has been created due to the firm’s expanding investment portfolio. This highly dynamic position offers broad exposure across the firm’s private funds, with all routine prep work handled by the fund administrator. The role will involve portfolio valuation, deal settlement, fund onboarding, credit financing management, implementing a new investment monitoring platform, and more.
Role responsibilities
- Partner with the Front Office and Executive team on the investment closing process.
- Manage and report on credit facilities, ensuring compliance and optimization.
- Lead portfolio valuation processes and reviews, providing strategic insights.
- Oversee daily accounting, operations, and investment funding activities.
- Handle due diligence requests and regulatory compliance calculations.
- Implement and enhance investment monitoring platforms and credit. facilities.
Requirements
- 6-12 years of fund accounting experience with prior top tier public accounting experience required.
- CPA required.
- Credit or Bank Debt experience is highly preferred.
