Financial statement preparation: Consolidate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to summarize the company's financial status.
Role responsibilities
Financial statement preparation: Consolidate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to summarize the company's financial status.
Budgeting and forecasting: Assist with the annual budget process, financial forecasting, and analyze cost variances to support financial planning.
Audit and compliance: Serve as a liaison to external auditors and ensure all accounting practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations.
Internal controls: Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and policies to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
General ledger management: Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
Team management: Supervise and delegate tasks to junior accounting staff, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Requirements
CPA designation with 5+ years of public accounting experience.
2 years in public accounting is required.
Strong operational accounting experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Outlook).
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems preferred.
Background in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or inventory management industries strongly preferred.
