Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, including footnote disclosures, operating metrics, MD&A, and accounting memos. Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all disclosed financial information.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, including footnote disclosures, operating metrics, MD&A, and accounting memos.

  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all disclosed financial information.

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely consolidated packages and operational reports. Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.

  • Lead the preparation of the annual budget process.

  • Develop and implement reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Act as the senior point of contact for external auditors during statutory audits, preparing and reviewing documentation and responses for audit inquiries.

  • Lead and manage the reporting team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA and/or Chartered Accountant designation required.

  • MBA is preferred.

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in general accounting or public accounting audit.

  • Experience in trading and/or the financial services industry is highly desirable.
