Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, including footnote disclosures, operating metrics, MD&A, and accounting memos. Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all disclosed financial information.
Role responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, including footnote disclosures, operating metrics, MD&A, and accounting memos.
Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all disclosed financial information.
Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely consolidated packages and operational reports. Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
Lead the preparation of the annual budget process.
Develop and implement reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Act as the senior point of contact for external auditors during statutory audits, preparing and reviewing documentation and responses for audit inquiries.
Lead and manage the reporting team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA and/or Chartered Accountant designation required.
MBA is preferred.
10 - 15 years of experience in general accounting or public accounting audit.
Experience in trading and/or the financial services industry is highly desirable.
